Job Purpose
To execute the procurement strategies for hospitality, coordinate with suppliers and implement systems for effective and accurate forecasting, inventory and replenishment at all levels.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
• Follow procurement process and perform all functions within job role responsibilities.
• Source vendors, ensuring best quality products at competitive prices are always available.
• Under the supervision of the GM of Hospitality, negotiate contract terms including prices, discounts and credit terms with each supplier for all Hospitality requirements.
• Create quarterly forecast and purchasing budget.
• Build, develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers.
• Review and monitor the selection of Hospitality related requirements according to customer demand, trends, brand guidelines.
• Maximize local purchase opportunities to decrease purchase costs and maintain budget targets.
• Under the supervision of the GM of Hospitality and Executive Chef, support retail supply and store material procurement product availability for existing and new stores, by developing sales forecasting cycles based on store development plans, customer throughputs, sales history, season trends, product range, market trends and promotions.
• Ensure that continuous and early feedback is given to the business on sales volatility, major deviations from plan, etc.
• Work with Cost Control to monitor inventory levels and coordinate with hospitality department to fulfill procurement needs.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, supplier communications and management decisions.
• Maintain agreed stock targets and re-order levels in conjunction with the business.
• Ensure that ordering material/guidelines are provided, for both regular supplies and promotional items. Interfaces with Operations management, Al Tayer‘s logistics and local suppliers, and resolves all high level or systems/process problems.
• Support procurement development and new supply initiatives, coordinating with sales and operations planning.
• Work closely with Operations and Cost Control with supporting partial deliveries, damaged goods and product recalls by preparing reports on procurement activities and performance metrics for management review.
• Support Operational needs as required.

• Graduate in any discipline
Years of Experience
• Minimum of 5-6 years relevant experience in inventory management of Hospitality, FMCG or retail

• Fluent in English. Arabic also highly desirable
