About The Role
The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for deliver timely and accurate support, analytics, and value-added insights to the immediate line manager and Retail Finance Leadership team. Ensure all activities are performed in full compliance with internal policies and standards, maintaining completeness and precision. Uphold the integrity of financial records and safeguard company assets to provide a true and transparent reflection of the organization’s financial health
What You’ll Be Doing
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure that all accounting entries are incorporated in the company accounts after they have been approved as per the schedule of authority.
Ensure that accounts are kept up to date to reflect all the transaction of the business, including all reconciliation with the bankers, debtors, creditors and Group Companies.
Carry out and/or support consolidation of financials (Management, Audit) at set frequency including preparation of management decks for submissions to the Company management.
Preparation and submission of monthly rolling cash forecast for submission to the Corporate Treasury.
Participate and ensure timely audit of the annual accounts.
Liaise with all the central and company departments for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
Exercise budgetary controls, accounting, and physical control as per laid down procedures of asset management. Also exercise controls on other purchases and services.
Ensure proper insurance cover on company’s assets in coordination with corporate finance.
Monitor internal/ external payments on timely basis and exercise internal controls so that payments are made as per the approved terms for goods and services supplied. Exercise controls on other purchases and services.
Ensure controls are carried out in cash collections, cash held and banking.
Carry out monthly/annual closing activities in accordance with corporate policies and IFRS and ensure timely submission of monthly management reports.
Ensure tax compliance and provide required support to the tax team in filing various tax returns.
About You
You have the below skills, experience and qualification to be successful for this role:
Qualified CA
- 4 to 5 years post qualification experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Sound and updated knowledge and experience in international accounting practice (IFRS, IAS).
Hands on exposure in using reasonably big ERP and BI / Performance solutions.
Hands on exposure in using excel, PowerPoint at reasonably advanced level
Should have good analytical, numerical and research skills.
Should have good organizational and planning abilities including the ability to deal with/work under pressure
Excellent Communication skills.
