Job Purpose
To manage and monitor inventory and stock holdings, ensuring system stock accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and maintaining optimal stock levels. The role also oversees the control and movement of goods, returns to suppliers, and ensures compliance with inventory control procedures to support overall business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities
Serve as the custodian of business inventory and oversee all inventory management operations.
Optimize warehouse storage space through ABC and heat map analysis.
Develop and implement action plans to minimize stock loss in collaboration with the Loss Prevention team.
Analyze warehouse damages and implement preventive measures with inbound and outbound teams.
Lead shrinkage analysis and develop strategies for reduction.
Ensure timeliness and integrity of all inventory-related transactions.
Operational Responsibilities
Investigate inventory discrepancies during cycle counts and picking processes, ensuring timely resolution.
Oversee stock transfers across warehouses and stores, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded.
Provide regular updates on pending transfers, cycle counts, and trouble-coded inventory.
Coordinate directly with suppliers and buying teams for stock returns.
Track warehouse logs, credit notes, RTV adjustments, and ensure accurate reporting to finance.
Process credit notes, RTVs, write-offs, and adjustments in the system with proper documentation.
Monitor daily transactions, investigate discrepancies, and ensure resolution via OnBase logs.
Manage perpetual stock-take calendars and ensure compliance across sites.
Collaborate with business inventory managers to compile and report monthly shrinkage data.
Identify and manage expiry and obsolete products, coordinating with stakeholders for disposal or RTV.
Oversee physical stock counts, validate results, and prepare reports with recommendations for management.
People & Process Management
Coach and motivate team members to achieve performance standards and continuous improvement.
Review operations from a risk management perspective and escalate potential risks to HSE committees.
Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with company HSE practices.
Communicate operational performance updates and align team goals with business objectives.
Foster a positive work culture, focusing on engagement, retention, and efficiency.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of warehousing and inventory management processes.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management, ideally within an e-commerce or retail environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer literacy.
Working knowledge of Oracle WMS preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Languages:
Proficiency in English.
