Job Purpose:

To support the management in decision-making and planning through analysis and reporting of financial performance, maintaining effective controls over the company’s financial processes and preparing financial statements, management information, and Budgets/ Forecasts/ Business Plans of ATRE in line with the Al Tayer Group (ATG) guidelines



  • Participate in the development of the Finance strategy for the company, ensuring that the strategy is in line with the Group’s overall strategic direction.

  • Monitor the company’s budget and control expenses of the function, ensuring it stays within its operating budget.

  • Ensure timely preparation of the financial budget & Business Plan in coordination with Group Corporate Finance.

  • Prepare analysis and commercial trends for the management to assist them in making better commercial decisions.

  • Ensure timely preparation of the financial budget and forecasts for ATRE/ Senyar/ and other real estate operational entities in line with ATG requirements, working in coordination with Group Corporate Finance.

  • Ensure that Budgets and Forecast are up-loaded into Hyperion within the deadlines.

  • Participate in all aspects of ATRE Finance, including preparation of business plans, forecasting / cash flows and all finance reports including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.

  • Ensure effective implementation and enforcement of the approved budget; monitor and report on budget variance and identify key issues and potential corrective action.

  • Responsible for month and year-end GL closing process within the defined timeline. Maintain schedules as a part of month end closing process including prepaid amortization, accruals, other accounts receivable and inter-company reconciliation schedules.

  • Review thoroughly all general accounts to check every account has relevant entries, all entries related to amortizations, accruals, and reconciling items are posted and post necessary journal entries for the missing income or expenses.

  • Ensure all loan related entries like principal and interest repayments and drawdowns are recorded accurately and maintain schedules for each loan.

  • Provide periodic financial reports for ATRE / Senya including key financial information within established timelines in areas such as operating results and budget versus actual and also report any issues with respect to planning and budgeting to the ATRE Finance Manager as well as ATRE Business Heads

  • Monitor progress against budget and carry out periodic reviews, performance and valuation of assets and report findings to Finance Manager

  • Work with Group IT to ensure the overall accuracy, completeness, timeliness and usability of system generated financial data including liaising with different teams in HO for any new software/ tool implementation.

  • Prepare and ensure timely filing of VAT return and maintaining proper records for Tax Auditor for the company. Ensure VAT reports for ATRE/ Senyar and other entities are submitted to ATG Tax department on a timely basis.

  • Liaising with the corporate functions including Legal/ Treasury/ HR for assisting ATRE.

  • Monitor the day-to-day cash needs for the company and develop comprehensive treasury forecast and cash reporting mechanisms (including daily and cash in transit reporting) to ensure adequate liquidity.

  • Closely work with Treasury team, HO Finance teams to provide support on Bank Loans and related conformance as well as ensuring funds monitoring for repayment/ interest servicing. Analyzing funds position to highlight to relevant stakeholders in advance of any potential shortfalls expected and ways to arrange funding.

  • Manage the external audit process and align with the Corporate Finance team on reporting requirements, including preparation of year-end and interim financial statements to be produced in line with ATG guidelines and policy and up to date IFRS guidelines.

  • Support the Finance Manager aligning to Group Finance governance and policies, design and maintain an effective control environment over all key financial processes for Al Tayer Real Estate, ensuring the business unit specific needs are considered and met, including accounts receivable and accounts payables as well as accounting and reporting.

Experience & Qualification:

  • Recognized professional qualification in Finance (CA, ACCA, CPA equivalent) with appropriately maintained Continuing Professional Development.

  • Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in chief accounting or budgeting and reporting role (including responsibility for General Ledger closing)

  • Hyperion Planning, SMART View, JD Edwards / Oracle
