Job Purpose
To provide exceptional customer service by attending to guest tables in a professional and efficient manner, while maximizing sales and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Deliver positive and professional service to the highest standards, exceeding customer expectations.

  • Accurately take and process customer orders in a timely manner.

  • Follow the sequence of service standards as per brand guidelines.

  • Anticipate customer needs, ensuring attentiveness without being intrusive.

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all menu items to confidently describe and recommend products.

  • Ensure consistent food quality and adherence to brand and company standards.

  • Manage table set-up and close-down within assigned sections, ensuring quick turnaround.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.

  • Work within operational standards to ensure compliance with company and municipality food and beverage guidelines.

  • Complete all administrative tasks accurately and on time, including customer database cards.

  • Process customer payments in authorized modes, issue receipts, and reconcile sales with receipts.

  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.

  • Assist in training and guiding new team members when required.


Job Requirements

Education/Certification

  • Certification in Food and Beverage or Catering is an advantage.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in the catering or hospitality industry.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Teamwork and collaboration.

  • Basic knowledge of team leadership and training is an advantage.
