Associate Director – Procurement
Experience
Min 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role within a procurement function, ideally within UAE in a centralized procurement model
Qualifications
Graduate (any discipline) preferably with Finance or Engineering background with MBA
Knowledge & Skills
Detailed technical understanding of the assigned commodity / category of spend
• Strong influencing and facilitation skills to act as the interface between stakeholders / business units and procurement balancing the optimum delivery of customer requirements with the need to adhere to designated procedures.
• Detailed technical understanding of the assigned commodities / categories of spend
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong Project management skills showcasing capabilities to plan, mobilize and manage a Sourcing project with ability to solve show-stoppers and other potential de-railing issue for the project
• Outstanding relationship management skills (internal & external)
• Analytical & Negotiation skills
• Market understanding on vendor capabilities, should costs, supply chain, etc.
• Strong managerial skills to manage managers by coaching, directing and giving guidance on internal and external domains to achieve ATG objectives
• Experience with ERPs in a must (preferable SAP / Oracle or JD Edwards)
• Experience with E-sourcing suites is desired
