We at Al Tayer Group are looking a Lead – Group Learning Technologies for a temporary contract of 6 months to lead the end-to-end process of design, development and implementation of virtual and digital learning as well as identify and introduce appropriate learning environments, enhancing learning engagement to support the organization’s development objectives and establish a learning culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the design and development team for the Learning Technologies vertical
• Provide specialist knowledge to establish, evolve and monitor virtual and digital learning solutions, across multiple device platforms
• Develop, enhance and monitor the use of learning social media in line with the direction of micro-learning; lead the drive to content curation
• Support the adoption of virtual / eLearning and new learning technologies across business units and user communities.
• Engage with the businesses to identify learning needs, proposing the use of appropriate development tools and design techniques to create interactive and engaging content for use on a variety of platforms including desktops, tablets, and smart devices.
• Create virtual / e-learning material inclusive of but not limited to course content, learning activities and resources, interactive discussion and game-based learning to meet the business and learning objectives.
• Establish measures to monitor and assess the effectiveness of online learning and its impact on employee performance.
• Remain abreast with developments in the field of online learning, latest tools, learning methods and technologies and recommend suitable approaches that can be adapted to the training needs of the Organisation.
• Oversee the optimization and operations of the current LMS and identifying and implementing future LMS solutions. Develop a network of “super user” LMS admins in different BUs

Person Specifications

• Graduate Degree with specialisation in computing technologies, multimedia design or education technology
• 3-5 years proven experience in creating and deploying virtual / eLearning solutions
• Knowledge of SCORM, web and multimedia content development, cross-browser compatibility standards, web user interface design (UI) and APIs
• Deep knowledge of web authoring tools and development software
• Knowledge of Learning Management System would be an advantage
• Confident presentation, communication and Interpersonal skills
• Creative flair
• Ability to work in teams – internal and external
• Ability to multitask and work to challenging deadlines
• Experience in various aspects of training – planning, designing, delivery and administration
• Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality legislation and data protection standards
• Proficient in English language, Arabic would be an advantage

This is a temporary contract for 6 months only. We prefer candidates who can commit for a 6 months assignment or more.
